REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS UT13-019GL The UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY (UTA), on behalf of the Executive Committee for the Wasatch Summit Program (Executive Committee), is requesting proposals from responsive, responsible sole proprietors or firms to perform professional services for Phase 1 of the Wasatch Summit Program, with an option to perform professional services for Phase 2. UTA may, at its sole discretion, elect to exercise the option and issue a Notice to Proceed for Phase 2, or not elect to exercise the option and allow the Contract to expire following the completion of Phase 1. All correspondence, questions of any kind, clarifications, and requests for procurement packages concerning this RFP which is in the form of an e-mail, shall be directed to Grants and Contracts Administrator, Mr. Gregg Larsen, UTA, 669 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. Email: glarsen@rideuta.com. If requesting the procurement package e-mail, please provide your complete e-mail address and a landline phone number. No email / fax bids or proposals shall be considered. Mr. Larsen is the only authorized contact during the procurement phase. Local funding will be used for this project. Sealed proposals marked "Wasatch Summit Program Facilitator" must be sent with one (1) original, six (6) copies, seven (7) total and one (1) electronic copy. Proposals are due no later than 2 PM MDT on July 19, 2013, delivered to UTA, Attn. Gregg Larsen, 669 W 200 S Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. Any proposal received thereafter shall be considered non-responsive. It is the responsibility of the proposer to see that its proposal is received by the designated person at the time and place specified. The proposals received shall be opened and evaluated by a selection committee in a private meeting. Issuance of this procurement package does not commit UTA to award any contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a response, or to procure or contract for services or supplies. UTA reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and informalities, to reject any and all proposals for sound business reasons, to cancel, to re-advertise and to make contract awards in the best interest of UTA and the Executive Committee, including making award based upon original proposals without further negotiation, or to request further information from proposers, or to conduct presentations and/or interviews with proposers. The contractor selected shall be required to comply with all applicable equal employment laws and regulations. UTA will not discriminate against any interested firm or persons on the basis of race, color, sex, age or national origin in the review of qualifications or contract award.
