DOCUMENT 00100 SOLICITATION FOR CONSULTANT PART 1 GENERAL 1.1 PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT A. CONSULTANTS are invited to submit Qualifications to provide site analysis, planning, design, construction documentation, public engagement, permitting, and construction oversight services for one or both of the following riparian restoration and enhancement projects: PROJECT 1. WASATCH HOLLOW PHASE II OPEN SPACE RIPARIAN RESTORATION PROJECT 2: PARLEY'S HISTORIC NATURE PARK DESIGN B. CONSULTANTS may submit Qualifications to perform work for any or all of the projects. The City may enter into multiple contracts with consultants for the different projects or may enter into a contract with a consultant for more than one project. C. The work will consist of providing site analysis, planning, design, construction documentation, permitting, and construction oversight services for best-in-class water quality, habitat, recreation and education features for riparian restoration and enhancement. Detailed project information is provided in Document 01110. 1.3 EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS The scope of work and submittal requirements will be available from the City Engineer's Office at 349 South 200 East, Suite 600, Salt Lake City, Utah on or after July 22, 2013. The documents can also be viewed and downloaded at the following website: www.bidsync.com. 1.4 SUBMISSIONS Qualifications (Document 00400) will be received in the Salt Lake City Engineer's Office at 349 South 200 East, Suite 600 until 4:30 p.m. on August 21, 2013 Please submit Six bound hard copy qualifications and one (1) CD with entire qualification documents. Late Qualifications will not be accepted. On the outside of the sealed envelope, type the project name, "WASATCH HOLLOW PHASE II OPEN SPACE RIPARIAN RESTORATION" and/or "PARLEYS HISTORIC NATURE PARK DESIGN". 1.5 RIGHT TO REJECT SOLICITATION The City reserves the right to reject any or all Qualifications or to waive any informality or technicality if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. 1.6 AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES (ADA) In compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the following information is provided; Fax Number: (801) 535-6093; TDD number: (801) 535-6219; contact person: Joel Harrison, P.E., Contract Administrator, City Engineer's Office. Said laws include, but are not limited to, the Equal Employment Opportunity laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) laws, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Utah Immigration Accountability and Enforce Act (Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 12).
