Bids delivered to any other location will not be accepted. The City Recorder will publicly open Bids in the City Council Chambers, Room 315, City & County Building at or about 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time on August 28, 2013. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 349 South 200 East, Suite 100. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each complete set. The deposit can be a cashier or company check payable to Salt Lake City Corporation. Major credit cards are also accepted. CDs will be provided at no cost. The plans and specifications can be reviewed and downloaded at the following web site: www.bidsync.com. The plans and specifications will be available on or after August 7, 2013. To ensure notification of addenda is received, BIDDERS should register as a plan holder on bidsync. Contractors must be prequalified. See Document 00 22 19 for pre-qualification requirements. The project consists of 19,020 square foot branch library and associated site improvements for the Salt Lake City Public Library system located in the Glendale community. The construction consists of steel frame on concrete foundations with metal and wood cladding. Interior finishes include carpet, linoleum, ceramic wall tile and paint. The HVAC system includes a ground source heat pump. The entire facility is optimized for LEED Silver certification. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
