SANDY CITY PUBLIC NOTICE INTENT TO ANNEX - GRANITE POINT ANNEXATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sandy City Council has adopted a resolution indicating its intent to annex an unincorporated area, located at approximately 3229 Granite Point Circle in Salt Lake County, into the Municipality of Sandy City. On September 17, 2013, at 7:05 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, Sandy City Hall, 10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy, Utah, the Sandy City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed annexation. Legal Description: Beginning at a point on the current Sandy City boundary established by the FUR HOLLOW ANNEXATION to Sandy City, the recorded plat of which may be found as Entry No. 11690058 in Book 2013P of Plats at Page 140 in the office of the Salt Lake County Recorder, said point also being on the centerline of Bell Oaks Drive and lies South 89°35'24" East 725.915 feet along the quarter section line and South 671.947 feet from the Salt Lake County monument marking the Center Quarter Corner of Section 11, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, (Basis of bearing for this description is South 89°35'24" East along the quarter section line defined by Salt Lake County monuments representing the Center Quarter Corner and the East Quarter Corner of said Section 11.); thence North 54°53'34" East 23.44 feet to the northwest corner of BELL OAKS No. 2 subdivision, the recorded plat of which may be found as Entry No. 4614623 in Book 88-4 of Plats at Page 37 in the office of the Salt Lake County Recorder; thence along the boundary of said subdivision the following four (4) courses: (1) South 89°37'19" East 559.190 feet; (2) South 40°00'00" West 144.340 feet; (3) South 15°08'04" West 262.626 feet; (4) South 89°40'00" West 411.221 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 204 of said BELL OAKS No. 2 subdivision and the current Sandy City boundary; thence along the lot line common to Lots 204 and 205 of said BELL OAKS No. 2 subdivision and the current Sandy City boundary established by said Fur Hollow Annexation to Sandy City, North 13°06'13" West 173.01 feet; thence continuing along said current Sandy City boundary as established by said Fur Hollow Annexation to Sandy City the following three (3) courses: (1) North 40°35'50" West 23.94 feet to the centerline of Fur Hollow Drive; (2) Northeasterly 78.54 feet along the arc of a curve to the left whose center bears North 0°20'00" West 50.00 feet, has a central angle of 90°00'00" and a chord bearing and length of North 44°40'00" East 70.711 feet to the centerline of Bell Oaks Drive; (3) along the centerline of said Bell Oaks Drive, North 0°20'00" West 119.72 feet to the point of beginning. The City Council will annex the area unless written protests to the annexation are presented at the public hearing, or are filed by 5:00 p.m., on the day of such hearing, with the Sandy City Recorder, Suite 311, Sandy City Hall, 10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy Utah, by the owners of private real property that: (A) is located within the area proposed for annexation; (B) covers a majority of the total private land area within the entire area proposed for annexation; and (C) is equal in value to at least 1/2 the value of all private real property within the entire area proposed for annexation. The area under consideration for annexation comprises approximately 4.09 acres. It is being proposed to annex these properties to the City with the R-1-15 Zone (Single Family Residential 15000 sq ft).
