Salt Lake County Public Need Hearings Community Resources & Development CDBG, HOME, ESG & SSBG PROGRAMS DATE: Monday, September 23, 2013 TIME: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. LOCATION: Murray City Library - Auditorium 166 East 5300 South, Murray DATE: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 TIME: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. LOCATION: Salt Lake County Government Center, North Building County Council Chambers, Room 4100 2001 South State Street, Salt Lake City The purpose of these Public Need Hearings is to solicit public response and feedback on the Draft 2013 Community Needs Assessment of Low- and Moderate-Income Households that has been compiled by Salt Lake County's Division of Community Resources and Development (CRD). Public response and feedback will be incorporated into the final version of this need assessment. The focus of the Community Needs Assessment is to gain a better understanding of the needs of low- and moderate-income households in Salt Lake County, Utah. The Office of Community Resources and Development believes this understanding will play a key role in offering programs which have a tight connection between community needs and the solutions offered through programing. As such, the purpose of this project is to help inform the allocation of limited resources (CDBG, SSBG, ESG, and HOME grant funds administered by CRD) to programs which can best address the needs of the residents in Salt Lake County, Utah. For those unable to attend in person, written responses via email are welcomed and accepted now through Friday, September 27, 2013. Written responses should be submitted to either Valerie Walton at vwalton@slco.org or to Karen Wiley at kwiley@slco.org.
