Request for Proposals-Utah's Hogle Zoo Construction Manager/General Contractor Utah's Hogle Zoo is requesting proposals for Construction Management / General Contractor Services (CM/GC) for our Master Plan Projects: The (CM/GC) project includes: preconstruction services, bidding, and construction services for the Zoo's Planned Construction Projects consisting of three projects: Project 1 Maintenance Building Addition, including a storage warehouse, enclosed garage bays serving as vehicle maintenance in a 2-story addition to the existing building constructed 4 years ago. Project 2 Red Panda exhibit, an open air exhibit featuring conditioned artificial trees, water stream with recycled water, and nose to nose glass viewing. Project 3 Primate Tree-ways, overhead flexible-mesh tubes connecting existing exhibits, and spanning across public pathways. The anticipated construction budget for combined Projects 1-3 is $2,500,000. The (CM/GC) project will also include, preconstruction services, and budget estimates for the Zoo's current Master Plan Projects including "Wild Utah", consisting of exhibits for cougars, bobcat, porcupine, rattlesnakes, bats, gray wolf, and other species; and includes themed buildings for indoor viewing that double as an event spaces; "Small Animals Building II", an indoor conditioned facility, consisting of 2-3 story building with basement, featuring animal exhibits with multi-purpose rooms used for education, event space, and conservation messaging. Dependent on availability of future funding, Utah's Hogle Zoo may elect to award the construction services for associated current Master Plan Projects to the selected CM/GC. The Request for Proposals (RFP) documents, including the selection requirements and the selection schedule, will be available on June 27, 2017 from Utah's Hogle Zoo, in electronic format only, at the Zoo's Guest Services office, 2600 Sunnyside Ave, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108. NOTICE A Notice of Intent for the following project submitted in accordance with R307-401-1, Utah Administrative Code (UAC), has been received for consideration by the Director: Company Name: eBay Inc. Location: eBay Inc.- Topaz (South Jordan) Data Center 6614 West Crimson View Drive, South Jordan, UT, Salt Lake County Project Description: eBay Inc., (eBay) owner and operator of the computer data center located in South Jordan, Salt Lake County, has requested to install nine (9) diesel-fired, emergency generators. Six (6) will be rated at 2.0 MW each and three (3) will be rated at 1.5 MW each. This new equipment will support Phase 3 of the data center's expansion. Salt Lake County is a nonattainment area of the National Ambient Air Quality Standard for PM10, PM2.5, and SO2, and is a maintenance area for ozone. New Source Performance Standards (40 CFR Part 60 Subparts A and IIII) and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (40 CFR Part 63 Subparts A and ZZZZ) regulations apply to this source. National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (40 CFR 61) regulations do not apply to this source. Currently, sources that are only subject to 40 CFR Part 60 Subparts A and IIII and 40 CFR Part 63 Subparts A and ZZZZ are not subject to Title V of the Clean Air Act. Therefore, at this time, Title V of the 1990 Clean Air Act does not apply to eBay. The emissions from this modification, in tons per year, will increase as follows: PM10 + 0.08, PM2.5 (subset of PM10) + 0.08, NOx + 14.60, SO2 + 0.01, CO + 0.93, VOC + 0.30, HAPs + 0.04, and CO2e + 1,388. The South Jordan data center, as a result of these modifications, has the following tons per year Potential to Emit totals: PM10 = 2.61, PM2.5 (subset of PM10) = 2.57, NOx = 47.30, SO2 = 0.11, CO = 8.35, VOC = 1.62, HAPs = 0.10, CO2e = 41,742. The completed engineering evaluation and air quality impact analysis showed that the proposed project meets the requirements of federal air quality regulations and the State air quality rules. The Director intends to issue an Approval Order pending a 30-day public comment period. The project proposal, estimate of the effect on local air quality and draft Approval Order are available for public inspection and comment at the Utah Division of Air Quality, 195 North 1950 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. Written comments received by the Division at this same address on or before July 24, 2017 will be considered in making the final decision on the approval/disapproval of the proposed project. If anyone so requests to the Director in writing within 15 days of publication of this notice, a hearing will be held in accordance with R307-401-7, UAC.
